I have been using XAMPP for about the last seven years on a 2013 MacBook Pro Retina. So... that tells you the last time I needed to load XAMPP..
I recently upgraded the computer with a new 1Tb SSD and have loaded a new install of XAMPP. It seemed to load fine but I can't find /localhost.
The last installation:
- created a folder in "Applications" called "XAMPP"
- Inside that folder was another called "htdocs"
- any web pages or site structure was copied to htdocs
- htdocs was the root level for http://localhost
In this installation:
- "XAMPP" in "Applications" is an application, not a folder
- I can't seem to find "htdocs" anywhere
- Navigating to "localhost" in a browser returns a "Can't connect to the server" error
- The XAMPP application is showing an IP address of "192.168.64.2"
- Navigating to 192.168.64.2 in a browser takes me to the XAMPP welcome page but it is not clear to me where that is
What's changed?
What am I missing?
Did I miss a step?
Thanks!
