Hi ^_^
OK, so first of all, I should say that I'm really REALLY dumb when it comes to computers or generally anything that requires you to be smarter than an average bear. So excuse me if I'm breaking some forum rules or missing something obvious.
So, I'm using (or trying to use) Lampp on Ubuntu 12.04 (Can't afford Windows, I'm poor. Ha Ha!) I downloaded and installed Xampp according to the exact instructions given on this site but when I tried to access it from browser, it gave permission issues. So I opened "gksu nautilus" and changed the whole lampp directory's permission to read/write for everyone. I didn't change the owenership (I think!)
By doing this, I managed to run xampp from http://localhost but I now I couldn't access phpmyadmin because of the New Xampp policy error. I tried the method given by johnb here:
http://community.apachefriends.org/f/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=50902&p=196185#p196185
It worked but now when I enter phpmyadmin and go to the database tab, I see a "No priviledges" error under "Create new database".
What should I do now?
