YOU SHOULD GET WITH THE PROGRAM. I GET THIS TO RUN SOME AND THEN IT BREAKS. 64 BIT IS HERE. I AM IN COLLEGE AND HAD TO BUY A NEW COMPUTER AND DON'T HAVE A WAY TO VALIDATE MY HOMEWORK WITHOUT GOING TO THE TROUBLE TO SET UP MY OWN WEBSITE. THIS IS REALLY REALLY WRONG. THERE MUST BE SOME EXPLANATION ON HOW TO KEEP THIS RUNNING.

I really don't get it.
What do you want to say to us?
I run a XAMPP on my Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit. And it runs and runs and runs and never stops.
We don't provide any support via personal channels like PM, email, Skype, TeamViewer! It's like porn for programmers

Well I finally got it to work using security and changing passwords, but it behaving differently than when I first installed it. But now phpMyAdmin wants a password and any of the fixes in the config files don't fix it.
The final version I downloaded yesterday must have been different since xampp only exists on the C drive. Before Apache and MySQL were in the services section and you could see if they were started or automatic. Now they are not there so there are some differences here.
So how did you install it and how do you get phpMyAdmin to work? In the discussion board at my college others are having the same issue.
Can you give some details? Should I install xampp again and not bother with security?
