Mercury SSL and Gmail relay issues.

I need gmail to send through my mercury mail and can't seem to figure out how to connect it, even unsecured..
Also I can't get Mercury's SMTP SSL option to work with either Thunderbird or Gmail.

Without SSL I can get Thunderbird to work fine.
I can get msg's to gmail using a Mercury Alias but can't get gmail to connect to the Mercury SMTP using any options so I'm super frustrated.
I know it's hitting my server, just no handshake.

After countless hours of trouble shooting I figured it out, at least the unsecure gmail link. This gives you a complete relay to and from gmail through your own mercury server.
You need to allow the gmail IP to access the SMTP server by making a "connection control" rule to "Allow" and ALSO select the "Only Authenticated SMTP connections may relay mail".

NEXT create an "AUTH Password file:" by simply naming your file anything and go to "edit".
Write in your USERNAME, then a space, and then type in your PASSWORD.

SAVE IT!
SHOULD BE GOOD!
