Port 80, PID4

Postby pandeetah » 15. May 2020 00:00

For the umpteenth time I've made an attempt to download XAMPP. AFter setuo I get a message in red that reads:

Port 80 in use by "Unable to open process" with PID 4!
Apache WILL NOT start without the configured ports free!
You need to uninstall/disable/reconfigure the blocking application
or reconfigure Apache and the Control Panel to listen on a different port

After looking at a couple of tutorials and reading a couple of other entries in this form I went into http dconfig
and changed bot Listen 80 to Listen 8080 and localhost 80 to localhost 8080.
I still seem to be having the saame problem. I'm having trouble locating PID 4.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

You need to tell the control panel too that the port has changed. The control panel does have a config menu for this.
We don't provide any support via personal channels like PM, email, Skype, TeamViewer!
