I am getting a XAMPP error when I start mysql

Postby Alex1 » 09. May 2020 05:56

I have a project that I am doing for school and need to use mysql and XAMPP but it seems that XAMPP is not working. I am new to this so I don't know what the problem is or how I am able to fix it.

Here is the error that I am getting:

Error: MySQL shutdown unexpectedly.
This may be due to a blocked port, missing dependencies,
improper privileges, a crash, or a shutdown by another method.
Press the Logs button to view error logs and check
the Windows Event Viewer for more clues
If you need more help, copy and post this
entire log window on the forums

When I open mysql workbench and go to the server status it says that the server status is stopped. It seems that I am able to login to the mysql workbench server but it doesn't connect. The Client connection, Users and Privileges, and Status and System Variables all are blank, probably because mysql is not running. I know I was able to make at least 1 user in phpMyAdmin before it stopped working.

Also it seems that phpMyAdmin is not working for me so I am not able to do anything there that might be able to solve my issue.

Here are my most recent XAMPP mysql errors from the error log
