apache not starting

Postby webdragon777 » 24. February 2007 01:41

Hi all,

I just installed the xampp 1.4.16 to run a development server for zen cart.
All went well except for apache 2 that says my port 80 is blocked. Here is what I did so far:

Unblock firewall to enable port 80;
check again...not starting (well I see the running for about 2 seconds and it goes) I'm assuming windows is just not wanting to cooperate...
Did a port check with port checking here is the result i got:
service: apache <http>; port 80; status c:\windows\system32\inetsrv\inetinfo.exe (I also assume this is the problem)

I'm pretty sure the last is the problem but I don't know where and what to do to remedy?

You must know that this is the first time installing this package and running it.
My knowledge is very limited toward it.
I need this to develop the zen software.

Any help is welcome and appreciated
Unfortunately I don't speak German.

That's IIS from Windows.
