hello everyone,

i have xampp running 100% great on my server at home.

i have one question though,

whenever me or my friends visit my site, it brings up a prompt asking for user/pass to the xampp control center.

hwo do i make it so we can just type the url without an index.html or something similar at the end
(ie. just http://www.something.com instead of http://www.something.com/index.html)

Is your xampp index.php page still in the htdocs directory?

I think that following this link will help you to make the xampp directory safe?

ahh, the index.php was in there

I wouldn't delete it! It is used to check your security settings as well! I would put it back and follow the correct procedures if I where you!
