Dear,
My kernel box is currently using grsecurity with PAX, and when i try to load xampp i got error:

Kernel 2.6.19-1
Grsecurity 2.1.9
Xampp 1.5.4a

./lampp startapache
/opt/lampp/bin/php: error while loading shared libraries: /opt/lampp/lib/libcurl.so.3: cannot make segment writable for relocation: Permission denied
XAMPP: Starting Apache with SSL ...
XAMPP: Error 1! Couldn't start Apache!
XAMPP: Starting diagnose...
XAMPP: Sorry, I've no idea what's going wrong.
XAMPP: Please contact our forum http://community.apachefriends.org/f/

Anyone has this experience too ?

Still not working with chpax either, here's some command i run:

[root@serverhp1 lampp]# chpax -ps /opt/lampp/lib/libcurl.so.3
[root@serverhp1 lampp]# chpax -v /opt/lampp/lib/libcurl.so.3

Try this please and backup XAMPP!

The apache is running successfully, but the php module isn't load.

[root@serverhp1 lampp]# ./lampp start

I'm just try to using this command:

echo "1" > /proc/sys/kernel/pax/softmode

[root@serverhp1 linux-2.6.19.1]# /opt/lampp/lampp restart
Stopping XAMPP for Linux 1.5.4a...
XAMPP: Stopping Apache with SSL...
XAMPP: Stopping MySQL...
XAMPP: XAMPP-ProFTPD is not running.
XAMPP stopped.
Starting XAMPP for Linux 1.5.4a...
XAMPP: Starting Apache with SSL (and PHP4)...
XAMPP: Starting MySQL...
XAMPP: Another FTP daemon is already running.
XAMPP for Linux started.

This is working with softmode
