question I can't figure out how to run a php script from the command prompt, I am tring to install horde groupware webmail edition but the setup.php script needs to be ran from the console. any idea as to how I do this. many thanks.

Something like

path\php.exe path\setup.php

ie

c:\xampp\php\php.exe c:\setup.php

[deepsurfer]

- open console (DOSbox)
- go manuel to \xampp\php folder ( e.g. cd c:\xampp\php\ )

for your setup use complete path to the setup.php
php.exe c:/xampp/htdocs/horde/setup.php
