Windows 2003 Server restarts

Postby bhasi75 » 29. November 2006 11:04

Hi friends,

I installed xampp latest version (XAMPP Lite 1.5.5) on windows 2003 server. On using control panel and starting apache and mysql it runs fine for sometime and suddenly Windows 2003 restarts. How can i solve this issue.

I also tried running apache and mysql by executing batch scripts, even now it restarts the machine.

Please help me out.

Thank you.

What does your Windows Application Event Viewer tell you?

What does the xampp\apache\logs\error.log tell you?

Look for clues in these files as the info you supplied tells us nothing about your problem other than your computer restarts.

Your post shows that there is nothing wrong with XAMPP only your OS. Did you follow the provided link To MS?

I see more problems emanating from the Windows Server OS than any other OS on these forums.

I feel sure that those users of the Windows Server Operating System should use the default IIS server software supplied and installed by default with this OS.

It seems that somewhere in this Windows Server OS is an incompatible issue with the Apache server and/or with its components that cause the OS to buckle under pressure. I may be wrong but the evidence seems to be in the shear volume of Windows Server problem posts on these forums.
