From a newbie.
Entering the URL http://localhost/xampp gives the following error:

Warning: file_get_contents(lang.tmp) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /opt/lampp/htdocs/xampp/index.php on line 2

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /opt/lampp/htdocs/xampp/index.php:2) in /opt/lampp/htdocs/xampp/index.php on line 4.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

You must install (extract) and start XAMPP as the user "root" (uid 0). (not another user with the same privileges)

I installed it as root the first tme.
I did also after removing the reinstalling.

I think the problem lies in apache already running.

[root@server lampp]# /opt/lampp/lampp start
Starting XAMPP for Linux 1.5.4a...
XAMPP: Another web server daemon is already running.
XAMPP: Starting MySQL...
XAMPP: Another FTP daemon is already running.
XAMPP for Linux started.
[root@server lampp]#

Entering 'http://localhost' open a page with 'It Works' on it.

How do I solve this?
How do I stop the other web server from running?
