problem whilw installing

Postby kjmw21 » 12. November 2005 08:07

Hello,
I try to install xampp 0.7 with Solaris 9 (and PC), when I start with "sh xampp-solaris-0.7.sh" I get the following:
/tmp/xampp-md5sum-xxxx: syntax error at line 1: '(' unexpected
MD5 checksum failed: XAMPP files corrupt.

I tried to download from various sites, also version 0.6, directly to Solaris host and through PC and WinSCP - no difference.
I tried with other SOlaris installation and other host - the same bug.

What could help???

Is it possible to get from somewhere the gzipped tar archive or XAMPP?

Regards,
JM/wmkj21

My problem was I downloaded it toi my local windows box and then used winscp to move it to the unix box and it scews up the md5. When i downloaded it directly to the unix box it was fine.
