Lars, I think this is a domain name zone file issue if clearing your browser cache has no effect.

Check your domain zone file has these 2 entries. Substitute yourdomain.com's IP for the 111.111.111.111

Code: Select all
yourdomain.com.   14400   IN   A   111.111.111.111
www    14400   IN   A   111.111.111.111

If the www is missing in the zone file then you will not be able to use www.yourdomain.com in the address bar of your browser as your DNS has no way of knowing where to send the request to. It will default in your case to the localhost address.

The zone file would also have ftp and mail under the www if you want to use ftp.yourdomain.com and mail.yourdomain.com. These are often referred to as aliases.

These can be checked at your domain name service provider.

I replied with a possible fix in your other thread relating to this issue.
