MySql + Sam2

Ok I have installed XAMPP and it's great I am trying to install Sam2 with Sam2 you need MySql is it possible to have two MySql programs on the one computer? cause when I installed it on the XAMPP MySql it stuffed up completely.

Sorry it may be hard to understand cause I can't quite explain it but yeh can anyone help?

When installating SAM2 select mysql as database, click on next, then click on Specify custom settings

Access mode: Local Server
Username: root
Password: your mysql password
Database: SAMDB <- Will be created automatically in MySQL
Click on next.
