extension=php_dbg.dll will hang apache

Thanks, xampp is working fine.

I'm trying to get php debugging to work. But as soon as I add extension=php_dbg.dll to php.ini apache wont start anymore, not even an error in the log.

Besides I wonder if it's possible to debug over the network, the server is on a pc on my network in the next room but I do my things from this machine here, so I need to use network paths for the debugging. Editors/Ides I have been looking at did nog support this as far as I could see.

Any help appreciated.
