SUSE 10 auto-load issue

Postby bigshooter » 19. February 2006 12:43

Installed XAMPP without any problems on suse 10. able to manually start from terminal as superuser. however the instructions to configure XAMPP to load automatically on startup provided in the linux FAQ do not seem to be working. i've tried several variations for the past 3 hours with no better results. Has anyone been successful in setting this up with Suse 10? It seems the program will only start when SU. could this be the problem? any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ok so I've spent a couple of days copying the German Xampp Linux forum into the google translator. and what i can deduce is that the issue is related to YAST. Unfortunately the google translater is ... imperfect. Leaving me with no complete solution to the problem.
