Postby Argo » 09. February 2006 20:53

Firstly I'd like to say Hi, as im new here to this forum.
Secondly, and heres the problem: I am running a test server on Apache as a local host. To alter the setup and config of oscommerce (Back ground colours etc) if I enter http://localhost/argonautic-online/oscommerce/ this is the reply from the server and Im tearing my hair out about it........cos I know its something so easy but I can't see it.....Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'argon'@'localhost' (using password: ***) in D:\Apache\xampp\htdocs\argonautic-online\oscommerce\includes\functions\database.php on line 19
Unable to connect to database server!

Perhaps somebody could "Open my eyes" on this?
I have no problem if you want to answer in German.........
Thx Guys / Gals

try using your mysql root and password.

You may also try reloading mysql in phpmyadmin and double check and make sure that argon has full rights for mysql.

Hmmmmmm well after some playing around have got this far
http://localhost/argonautic-online/oscommerce (enter) and then this
1046 - No database selected

select configuration_key as cfgKey, configuration_value as cfgValue from configuration

[TEP STOP]

Any ideas anyone please? What I'm after here is to run OScommerce as a local host site to see changes before uploading them to Hostserver, to save having to download them and change them afterwards..............

Thx
