can someone explain to me in plain english how to get a proper ssl certificate for my site plz

Under tutorials/written tutorials you find a tutorial for SSL Certificates..

Now I followed all of the instructions on the above site and got half way there.

But my end result was, it didn't work, error line -1.

Has anyone else had this problem or is it only me?
