Using CPAN module in XAMPP

Hi all.

I am using XAMPP 1.5.1 with WINXP Prof SP2, with perl-addon installed.

I am just learning perl and I know that there's a way to extend Perl by installing some CPAN modules. So I go to cmd and type the following:

<working_dir> >cpan

It start installing CPAN module and make all necessary installation. However, there's a line that catch my attention:

Unable to locate Perl libraries or Perl source code...
..You get this message, because MakeMaker cound not found /xampp/perl/lib/core/perl.h

It suggest me to reinstall perl by downloading a fresh and separated perl binaries and install Perl again. However, I don't want to do that as XAMPP have already had PERL enable, althought perl.h is really missing (because perl is prebuild...)

Well actually, I haven't try the suggestion as I think that there should be another way round.

So, do anyone have any suggestino on how to make perl.h available without reinstalling PERL? Or most generally, how to install/use CPAN module under XAMPP?
