Kein FTP zugang aus China!? Woran liegst?

Postby EDsteve » 10. October 2005 14:26

hallo,

SmartFTP v1.5.990.19
Resolving host name "edsteveed.dyndns.org"
Connecting to 169.132.13.103 Port: 21
Connected to edsteveed.dyndns.org.
Server closed connection

keep on going

ED

Why can I not reach your site or my Dynamic DNS host from China or Hong Kong?

In September of 2002, the PRC began a policy of blocking domains which it found to contain certain types of information. Because our service provides a way to easily create new domain names and map them to any IP address, our service was also targeted for this blocking. On March 3, 2003 we determined that the domains:

* dyndns.org
* ath.cx
* dnsalias.com
* dyndns.tv
* homeftp.net
* homeip.net
* homeunix.com
* homelinux.net
* homelinux.org
* merseine.nu
* mine.nu
* serveftp.net

were included in this blocking. Since our primary domain is included in this list, it is generally impossible to reach our website from computers located within the PRC or Hong Kong. Our other domains did not appear to be blocked at that time, but given the nature of the blocking and the ongoing addition of blocked domains, it is likely that they too will be blocked over time.

Dynamic Internet Technology, Inc (with whom we are not affiliated) has published two reports on this situation (A report about national DNS spoofing in China and Forbidden sites hijacked all over China) and is developing methods to circumvent this blocking.

Hallo!
