Modifying XAMPP Welcome Page Menu

Postby SyntheticShield » 17. December 2005 04:23

Hello all. Ive used XAMPP off and on for a while now and love it. After making more attempts than I care to admit to in instally Apache, PHP and MySQL individually I ran across XAMPP and have not looked back.

I have set up XAMPP to primarily test out PHP code as Im trying to learn how to write the code and all, so Im pretty much a beginner but willing to learn.

When I got to http://localhost it loads up http://localhost/xampp/index.php which is all fine. However, the menu on the left side I would like to change. I would like to take out the Demos or they could stay in, it doesnt matter either way, and add in some menu quick links to practice databases. Is this possible? If so, how would I go about doing that?

I appreciate any and all help for a noobie trying to learn.

Hats off to everyone involved in developing and producing XAMPP. You are just insane to use anything else in my opinion.
