Help!

I can log in as root with no password, but if I change a password (either root's or user's) it only works UNTIL I RESTART MYSQL!!!

After restart i have to change to no password to be able to log in!

I tried xampp 1.4.xx and 1.5 but non works! Only users with no password can login after restart.

The value in mysql/users database does not change!

Uninstall XAMPP
Use windows search and search for the my.ini file (c:/windows) and delete it. Also delete in (c:/windows/prefetch/)

MYSQLD.EXE-34ecf45.pf
MYSQLD.NT.EXE-2DEE3B11.pf
mysqlrootpasswd.txt

Reinstall XAMPP and mysql application will ask you for a username and password agen.
