Xampp on Solaris 10

Curious if anyone has attempted Xampp using Solaris 10.

I've got a new box that I'm setting up and will try it shortly.

Well... I put it onto a Solaris 10 Sparc box and after figuring out some permissions issues it has been working great.

I am having a bit of a problem with .htaccess Errordocument overrides but I think that is more of an Apache 2 issue than with the package.

It would be nice if there were a set of individual package areas in English like there are currently in German.

I am more than willing to try different things and do testing on the package.

Right now, I have it on a new test server using a new business class IP connection that I just setup. I plan on moving my existing base sites from an old Sun box using Apach 1 to this box.

So far, everything that has been moved is working without incident.

Got almost a full server up and running now... Only a few other things to try, compile and test.

I tested the following today...

SMF Forums
Exim Mail MTA with ClamAV (have not tried SpamAssassin yet)
Imap running
SquirrelMail with some minor issues
Jpgraph

Proftpd is configured

Apache is doing everything that I do on my old server so far. Figured out the ErrorDocument problem... used wrong path.

This is on a Sun Sparc 420r with 4gb ram 4 cpu's running Solaris 10.

Great Logo! Is there a documentation about your configuration that you have worked out?

It would be interesting for people working with Solaris 10 on a ADM cpu environment, too, because the file system is the same like SPARC, isn´t it?

In reality, I've not had to work out anything. Pretty much just works. The only real problem I had was with enacting SSL but that was might fault, not the packages.

I assume you are saying AMD not ADM. AMD is an x86 like product like Intel and would only work under Solaris 10 X86. This is not supported by XAMPP. Try using the Linux version instead.

This weekend, I am going to setup a zone using 3 cpu's and move the xampp stuff to that.
