Shutdown IIS and activate apache

Postby xanders32 » 14. September 2005 07:42

I installed Xampp but an error generated when I try to activate apache_start.bat.
<OS 100048>Only one usage of each socket address <protocol/network address/port> is normally permitted. : make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0.:443
No listening sockets available, shutting down
Unable to open logs
Apache could not be started

On my laptop I have OS: Windows 2000 Server and I develop also Dot.NET applications.
Can I temperary shutdown IIS en run apache and when I want to develop Dot.NET applications I shutdown Apache en run IIS?
Is this posible and how I do it?

Hi,

Maybe I have a solution for you:

Go to Start > Run > Fill in the command: services.msc

Now you have a list with services, search for the iss service and shut it down. Hopefully it works!

http://paginas.terra.com.br/informatica ... ex_en.html bijvoorbeeld.

Hi,
I think you can also go to control panel / advanced / services and disable the iis service - haven't done this for a while :-)
