cannot get cgi /perl module to work

I downloaded the installation module and installed it on a clean
xammp installtion.

when I try to run a cgi file I get this:

Code: Select all

Server error!
The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request.

Error message:
couldn't create child process: 720003: coranto.cgi


what is wrong?

You have installed the XAMPP Perl AddOn?

Yes, was there something to configure?
I installed it and was under the impression that it was already prepared for the xammp package.

Okay I found the problem, it was my shebang, is there a way to make
it work with default shbang instead of customizing it for every script?

I have a news script that has many files in it, it would be alot of work to
customize each file the new shebang everytime.

Also I really apreciat your help on this matter.
