Windows x64 professional running xampp

I'm about to install the windows beta x64 professional OS for my amd 64 athlon laptop. anybody know if xampp will run on it. i think it should but just wanted to ask?

I tried that and yes xampp runs on it but seriously, it didn't run all that well so I switched back to 32 bit 2 days later and have much better results with a 32 bit OS on a 64 bit machine. In fact, Server 2003 is the best way to go if you can. It may work better for you though, just my personal experience is all. Good luck!

Will there be an x64 version? If yes, I'd volunteer for testing. Perhaps I can help with coding, too. But I wouldn't bet the stability of that verion on it.

Ar... Actually, why is that problem? I just though if 64bits will run more faster, and XAMPP is just a bundled programs...

Actually it looks like you can make apache 64 bit yourself but it looks like a lot of work. Read this if you're interested. http://publicidad.buscar.com/manual/64-bit.html
