Should uninstall existing Apache, MySQL, PHP packages?

Before installing XAMPP, should I uninstall existing packages (Apache, PHP, MySQL...)? I have Mandrake 10.0

Dear fcavassini!

No, you can keep them installed. Just make sure you don't have them running. So only one Apache can run at the same time. Same to MySQL.

PS: To all the experts: Yes, I know that it is possible to run two (and more) Apache at the same time. Same to MySQL. But not with a standard configuration.
