Postby HyE » 11. February 2005 17:02

Hi everyone i am total newbie and i did managed to install and run XAMPP on my Comp. and i did register with NO-IP everything seems going fine.
My question is that when i type in, my local address, with lets say, Images folder extenssion i can brows it and any one can too from any comp. is this normal or there is something i missed to config.

Thank you very much

That's the reason why people install a webserver with internet access --> other can access the files. Or not?

yes you are correct but i think I miss explained myself what I meant is that lets say if I want to display my avatar image which I have it in my image folder, and someone just types my addle/images he can browse the image folder, this is what I meant I thought if they try to browse the my.address.no-ip/images it will not be able to browse it.

Thanks for your help
