Location of MYWebSite Default file xampplite

I am struggling with this although it should be simple. I am running xampplite on Windows XP Pro.

I renamed htdocs to htdocs_original.
Then I made a new directory htdocs and copied my own index.html into it.

Unfortunately http://llocahost/index.html produces page not found error.
I deleted history and cache in Internet_Explorer, Tools, Internet_Options, General.
Again no success.


Help me please.

It looks like I entered "llocalhost" in error.
Sorry, burning the midnight oil at both ends I think.
