Apache URL parsing

Hi there mates,

i hope youll understand what im trying to ask,
`couse your forum is like the only one on WWW (-:

So, im trying to use "pure" urls, like

host.com/file/var1/var2/var3/

Everything works with Options Multiviews, but!
apache searches for imgs in host.com/file/var1/var2/var3/img/
so my page get loaded without any picture )-:

How could i fix this ?

I red something about mod_rewrite and RewriteRule, but i cant get it work )-:

any advice or help would be appreciative.
