additional users for mysql

Hello,

I just installed Xampp yesterday (that was just too easy ), and I'm trying to get a copy of my site on localhost fot testing, so I want to use the same myswl-username and -password I use on my host, but I can only use the "root"-user on localhost. Can I create additional users on the mysql-database?

Yes, it is possible to add more users to your database. Just use the www.yourdomain.com/phpmyadmin to bring up phpmyadmin and create more user account to the desired database.

Ok, thanks, I didn't know phpmyadmin could do that too, but I found the option for it.

Now I have another question: I want to empty the mysql in order to put a copy of my own tables in it, so I deleted all databases and mysql stopped. I had to delete the entire xampp directory and install it from fresh. are there databases/tables I can't delete?
