gui - broken images?

Postby cmpjerome » 30. June 2004 21:56

I've just started with XAMPP, actually just did a first install on a RH9 system but I'm running into something strange .. after the installation I go to the localhost but the gui isn't exactly .. gui -> it appears the image paths are somehow not correct even though it is an out of the box install.

Any ideas?

Interesting: over https instead of http the images & css are displayed ..
I'be browsed over the forum and have found several references to the same problem - but I seem unable to find a conclusive solution ..

So anyone found something yet? At least the "workaround" with using https instead of http seems to do it fine.

I was searching the error for two days now :(

Dear cmpjerome and cybercon!

Do you use any kind of a virtual Linux server?

If yes, please take a look at

http://community.apachefriends.org/f/viewtopic.php?t=3004

That should fix your problem!

Was meinst du mit virtual Linux Server? Also unter VMWare lief und laufen alle Versionen Tadellos aber weder auf W2k noch WinXP läuft es, werde jetzt den Tip mit EnableSendfile off probieren.

Hi,

Danke.
