files out root or hacked..?

Postby Otto2 » 18. August 2004 02:05

Correct me if im wrong.. but after weeks of working, reading, translating i finaly managed to set up the Xampp for Windows properly.. installing xampp was no problem, but configurating the Vhosts was a different story..

Tonight i had it al worked properly.. (i thought) so i did a reboot on the system..
Trying to start Xampp again, it didn´t start.. so i´ve looked to the root.. and i found out of the root 2 files.. named t1ng and t1ng.1

i cant remove those files, they are in use with MySql..

Searching on Google i coulnt find a clear option, so maybe someone knows what is going on..?

noop.. i've installed Xampp on E:

so you get E:\xampp\htdocs.. the files are in: E:\

Still working on it, and after setting things back, the files disapered.. so no Vhost anymore.. and i put C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc ..set to normal again..

so im try to figer out what happend, couse it worked for a while.. maybe it's mý newbie-problem.. but if you know what couses the problem.. please..

Somewhere maybe DNS..? if i know where those files were stand-for i can get go on with it..

sorry for my English but its better than my German

i found those 2 files in the E directory, outside of the Xampp map or all what's in it..

removing was not allouwed, but after killing MySql manually, i could remove those files..

still dont know what it was..
