Upgrading PHP to 5.0.1

What is the preferred process so that I don't wipe out the good work done by the XAMPP installer? I downloaded the Windows binary zip file from php.net but then realized that just putting the files in place might not be the best idea.

Hi,

best thing is wait until a new XAMPP Version is released...
The Bugfixes are not that vunerable that you have to update straight away...
