Hello friends, I need help I just installed xampp and configured ssl but it doesn't accept it I want to access from another computer on the same network
Installing a SSL Certificate created for one system to another will not work, as the Certificate is URL specific. So, unless the site URL matches between the systems, copying the Certificate would be invalid. You might be able to do this, I suppose, if the Certificate URL is http://localhost/foo-bar, and that site exists on both local systems, but this is purely a guess on my part.
The project is to install a help desk system on a Xampp server and that users within the network can access the help desk system within the local network
If this is within your network, a self-signed certificate might work, but really not sure. I suppose you could just get a commercial certificate for the site and work with that. Again, not sure. But this topic is not really XAMPP related. More something Apache related in my opinion.
Hello this is Gulshan Negi Well, if you have SSL set up in XAMPP but can't get to the server from another computer on the same network, check that the server's firewall is set to accept HTTPS traffic and that the SSL certificate is installed correctly. The connection should then be tested from another computer on the same network, ensuring that the server's correct IP address or hostname is specified. If problems persist, you might want to consult the XAMPP documentation, online communities, or support forums for additional assistance. Thanks
