Problems with the Windows version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

In my php.ini file I have the error log location specified as
error_log="\xampp\php\logs\php_error_log" (This is the xampp default I believe).
But I find that php errors are actually being logged into Apache/logs.
ie \xampp\apache\logs\error.log
I am just curious to know where this is set? I can't find why this is happening. Not a big issue, but I'm curious!
I'm running XAMPP 7.4.12 for windows.
Thanks,
Brendan.

See
https://www.loggly.com/ultimate-guide/p ... ng-basics/An interesting quote:
Default Error Logs
When log_errors is enabled but error_log has not been defined—errors are logged to the webserver error log. The default location for Apache and Nginx follow. Consult your webserver configuration which may have been changed from the default.
Apache: /var/log/apache2/error.log
Nginx: /var/log/nginx/error.log
But you should read the whole document, there are various options for routing the error log.

Thanks.
OK - I think I've found the problem. XAMPP 7.4.12 is delivered without the folder xampp/php/logs having been created.
Once I create that folder, php errors are written to that folder and not to the Apache error log.
Thanks,
Brendan.
