Dear All!
I'm from Viet Nam and a new member. I have a question that needs help.
MacBook 12 retina MacOS High Sierra vesion 10.13.3.
My computer has a problem with sql error not working, I have reinstalled Xampp version 7.1.10-0 ( same old version ), but I forgot to backup my website database to sql (zip). I have kept the Xampp root directory and it is stored on a secure desktop.
I want to ask how to restore the database for the website.
Thanks everyone!

Try to copy the whole "data" folder from your old Xampp installation to the new installatiom. At first rename the existing data folder from your new Xampp installation (for example rename it to data.orig or so) in order to avoid a mixture of the folders.

Hot Backups / mysqldump / percona / vmfs MySQL Enterprise
Hot backups are taken while the database is running. You can't take a copy of the database files as they may change while the copy is running so you use a tool to do it. Google around for these and read the docs carefully. Or, you can try to use vmfs tools for the vmfs-recovery disk.
