User Defined Files

Postby wyx » 08. April 2019 09:52

Hi,

In the Xampp Control Panel / Config, there is a "User Defined Files". Even if I indicate a path to a new config file for MySQL, MySQL always launches using the standard configuration file. I'm tryng to have mutiple sets of data files for MysQL, and looking for an easy way to configure it.

Anyone can tell me how to use these "User Defined Files" ?

Hi,

User defined files are accessable from the config or log buttons in the control panel.
So for example if you define "\apache\conf\extra\httpd-vhosts.conf" in the config section of Apache, you can access the httpd-vhosts.conf file from the config button of the Apache component in the control panel.

best wishes,

Hi,

OK, it's just some custom shortcuts, but to open these files. I thought it could define alternative configuration files.

Thank you for your answer.
