Does XAMPP for Windows-x64 include PHP 64bits?

On Windows 10 localhost I have been using XAMPP for a number of years with no problems.
I am currently testing/developing with Drupal and Moodle and both platforms issue a warning that I should be using PHP 64bits rather than 32bits.
Here https://www.apachefriends.org/blog/new_xampp_20190227.html I see the announcement "New XAMPP for Windows-x64 installers". This is confusing, since I do not think that those XAMPP distributions include PHP 64bits.
Can anyone confirm that XAMPP for Windows-x64 does NOT include PHP 64bits? And, in that case, when will it become available? In the meantime, how can I upgrade my PHP from 32 to 64 bits?

The x64 Builds includes the official x64 Binaries of PHP.
These builds are already available in the Download section.

Well, I just downloaded xampp-windows-x64-7.3.2-2-VC15.zip and in the enclosed xampp\readme_en.txt the list of contents says : PHP 7.3.2 (VC11 X86 32bit thread safe) + PEAR
So what?

PHPInfo will output that it is Architecture: x64

Thanks @Altrea. You are correct. However it would be more clear to users if xampp\readme_en.txt mentioned PHP x64 64bits).

Maybe.

But (first of all) most people dont read readmes aynway, and second, there is no reason not to trust the download title "64bit". Simply download and install it (that actually takes less time than struggling here and fishing for problems), and you are done. Some things are not eaten as hot as they are cooked.

Thanks for reporting this. I can confirm you that the PHP binary included in the Windows-x64 bits installer is a 64 bits binary. We are working on this and will be updated on the next XAMPP release.
