127.0.0.1 refused to connect.

Problems with the Windows version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

127.0.0.1 refused to connect.

hi all,
I'm a beginner, I struggled with this problem all day lon and I don't know what to do anymore.
I'm creating a website with Wordpress, using Xampp. Everithing worked well until this morning, as I don't haveanymore access to my localhost.

this is the message I see if I go here http://127.0.0.1/wordpress/wp-login.php:
This site can’t be reached
127.0.0.1 refused to connect.
Try:
Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

1. It happened after an automatic update of Defender, so I tried to uninstall the updates and Defender.
2. I uninstalled the firewall too, but nothing changed.
3. I cleared the browsing data.
4. Apache, Mysql, Filezilla and Mercury work. Only Tomcat is not working, because the port 8080 is used by Apache. Actually, just after I installed Xampp I had to change the ports to 4433 and 8080.

What can I do to resolve this situation? There is a way to find and save the work I did or I must restart from scratch and reinstall everything?

Thank you!

If you change the Apache HTTP port from 80 to something else you need to append the new port to every request to your domain.

Thank you, but I still don't get it, as it worked perfectly until this morning with the port 8080.
