Yu have 2 instalation of Mysql.
What you need is to disable or uninstall the service of mysql 5
Go to C ==> Program Files ==> MySQL Server 5.0 ==> bin
Execute file MySQLInstanceConfig.exe and choice the remove option
After that restart the XAMPP control panel
