Does the latest release of XAMPP for Mac OS have MySQL 5.5.31 installed, and if not is there a way to upgrade it? I am trying to install Moodle onto my XAMPP installation. I could not get the Bitnami plugin to do what I needed it to, hence trying this option

https://www.apachefriends.org/download.htmltried to click on the "What's included" link next to the version? Every version information needed is written there.
So no, MySQL 5.5.31 is not included. MariaDB 10.1.25 is included.
Upgrading or replacing any of the core single components is not supported.
We don't provide any support via personal channels like PM, email, Skype, TeamViewer! It's like porn for programmers
