Xampp status: red + error message cannot calculate MAC addre

Hello i am a new Xampp user. Trying to download it. I am getting

STATUS: red (instead of green)

WHEN TRYING TO START IT:
I AM GETTING following error message:

cannot calculate MAC address: Unable to create VM (-85377018)

Any ideas on this ?

It would be possible your CPU does not support hyperkit that is the software we use for XAMPP-VM. Could you run the following command?

sysctl -n kern.hv_support

If the output is 0, your hardware does not support XAMPP-VM but you can download a XAMPP regular installer for MacOS at https://www.apachefriends.org/download. ... load-apple
