XAMPP-VM Failed to start - ERROR

Postby stefanpali » 13. July 2017 01:52

I can't start my XAMPP-VM and the log says:
"ERROR: Error starting "XAMPP" stack: failed to start machine: hyperkit: [ERROR] Found a reference to cluster 22221 outside the file (max cluster 22220) from cluster 14780.2155
hyperkit: [ERROR] Mirage block device raised exception: Qcow.Make(Base)(Time).Reference_outside_file(_, _)
Mirage-block error: Block device is disconnected
Could not open mirage-block device: Invalid argument
Could not open backing file: Invalid argument".

How do i fix this problem?

Regards

Did you try the latest version we released yesterday: 7.1.7? Could you post the MacOS version?

No, i have the XAMPP-VM 7.1.6 version. What happens with the files i have on this one if i download the new XAMP-VM version? Is it possible to update it somehow and not lose any saved files or do i have to download it from scratch again?

I am using MacOS version 10.12.2.

Unfortunately you can not get them right now. You can download the new version and remove the "~/.bitnami/" to start the new VM from the scratch, we added logic to avoid the crashes in the new 7.1.7 version. Please, post here if you find any issue.
