troubleshoot with XAMPP on kali linux

Hi,

I downloaded XAMPP from the apache website in run files; then when i try to install it on kali linux live i got this error.

root@kali:~/Desktop# sudo ./xampp -linux-*-installer.run

syntax error : Unterminated quoted string


the file is a 64 bits file and i have a 32 bits computer.

Does anybody knows what it is ?

Of course, what you already found out:

But, to be more precisely: i dont think you have a 32bit computer, as PCs are running on 64bits since more than 15 years. Anyway, you probably may have installed a 32bit Operating System and this error message is a typical message, when someones tries to execute 64bit binaries on a 32bit OS.

Sure i have a 32 bits OS but XAMPP does not exist in 32 bits.
Where can i find a 32 bits version of XAMpp ?

Nowhere. There is no Xampp 32bit version for Linux. EIther install a 64bit Linux OS or switch over to Windows.
