I am a new user, trying to make a simple webpage, following a YouTube tutorial for jQuery & Ajax.
As of the half of tut courses, the main concern was jQuery, so I was running my index.html directly from my PC file on Google Chrome.
Any changes that I made in my .html .css and .js files were instantly embeded on browser after I saved them and refresh the page.
In the middle of the courses, is suggested to install XAMPP for local server, as Ajax coding comes in first. And now the problem begins.
My project main file, contains, among others, a file named "text" in which there are 8 .txt files, named from 1 to 8 (e.g. 1.txt, 2.txt, etc). Into those .txt files, I've written a different word.
The problem is that if I change the content of any of those .txt files, when I reload the page, it keeps giving me the old content.
I get the content of those .txt files, with a $.get(); but this seems not to be the problem.
If I browse to localhost/myproject/text I get the .txt files on my browser screen and if I click on them it keeps giving me the old content, as if they are saved once and for all, I can't modify them!
Please some help!
