How to install second instance of xampp

I need to install a second copy of xampp. I see from other threads users do this. They will not be running at the same time.
I would like to know if there is anything I should watch out for. I don't want my first site damaged.

The first copy is XAMPP Version 5.6.24
Apache 2.4.23
+ MariaDB 10.1.16
+ PHP 5.6.24 (VC11 X86 32bit thread safe) + PEAR
+ phpMyAdmin 4.5.1
+ OpenSSL 1.0.2d
+ ADOdb 518a
+ Mercury Mail Transport System v4.63 (not included in the portable version)

Use the zip versions. Extract each XAMPP version in it's own root folder, e.g.
C:\xampp5824\
C:\xampp709\
C:\XAMPP7012\

execute the setup_xampp.bat script of each of the XAMPP versions to set the correct paths.
Et voila, you can start every of them with help of their own control panel.

I've done a lot of searching but I can't find a zip port of a recent xampp distribution. Does anyone have a link to a zip file distribution suggested in the above post? Thank you. (or does xampp-win32-5.6.28-1-VC11-installer.exe give you a zip "install" option?)

Also, thank you for the zip suggestion. I had my hand on the installer button. I am saved!

Finally...
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xampp/files/XAMPP%20Windows/5.6.15/. A zip option is located in the list.

Kept running into a 1.8... version.
