Table doesn't exist but it actaully does

Postby Aussiegreg » 24. December 2016 08:25

This problem started about 2-3 days ago and it has driven me nuts. First issue I have ever had with xammp.
Ok so I have the localhost open in firefox if I click on the database name not all of the tables appear in the right hand frame, but they all appear in the left hand frame.

If I click on the table name on the left hand frame it says error 1146 table doesnt exist.

Have tried everything including deleting the database folder under C:\xampp\mysql\data, I then create a new database (have tried the same name and a different name).
The with an exported fiel from the webserver I have I import the file into my local machine (xammp)
But the problem appears again, to the point I can click on the table I couldn't see before but a few minutes later it doesn't exist.

Any brilliant ideas please

Hi,

Did you defined any table specific permissions for this user?

Best wishes,

No changes to permissions, working away and then found that the database wouldn't listen the suburbs in the browser page went to the list of tables in the browser and came up with the error table does not exist could select other tables and they were fine

Then i have no idea. Sorry. There is no obvious reason for MySQL denying access to just a few database tables.
