Apache doesn't start after installing Bitnami

Postby JeremiasPT » 02. October 2016 14:53

Installed Xampp on Windows 10 and Apache seemed to work. Then I installed Bitnami WordPress and it stopped working. I use to install several Bitnami WordPress modules so I can have a bunch of WordPress sites to test things locally. However I just installed Bitnami WordPress on Xampp (an apps folder is created in C:\\Xampp) and when I start Xampp's control panel, MySQL starts, but not Apache.

Here's my log:

Do not install the wrong Bitnami WordPress module, as it finally installs TWO Apache versions. There is also a Module for an already installed Xampp (usually, installing Bitname WordPress Module does NOT(!) require Xampp, as it installs Apache/PHP/MySQL as well).

If you like to work with Xampp, i recommend not to install Bitnami WordPress module, instead go for the "normal" WordPress installation directly from WordPress. Follow the installation instruction for WordPress on a standard Webserver (as your Xampp PC already is a standard webserver).

But that way I can't have multiple WordPress sites on my localhost? I like having multiple sites to test different themes.
